My Dad's Dream Brought to Life!
We have two massive 75,000-gallon aquarium exhibits: one with Sharks and one with Gulf of Mexico fish! These tanks represent the 35+ years of passion and experience from our founder and my dad, Scott Konger. My dad first opened the Tarpon Springs Aquarium in 1990 on the Sponge Docks. His dream was to share a glimpse of what it is like to SCUBA dive in the Gulf. Come see my dad's dream come true! After 35 years of hard work and learning, my dad has created a masterful aquarium with the healthiest fish, unrivaled in Florida.
Note: During our SCUBA shows at 12:00 and 3:00 we either dive in our shark tank or big fish tank. Both shows are extremely exciting, but if you wish to see a specific one, please call ahead on the day of your visit to see which show we are doing at what time. (727) 938-5378.
Spotlight: Oscar the Grouchy Grouper!
Oscar is a Goliath Grouper that is over 150 pounds! But don't let his grouchiness fool you. This big guy has fallen in love with our divers over the 13 years we have kept him. He often comes out for our SCUBA shows when we do them in the big fish tank!
Feed the Fish & Sharks
You also have the opportunity to throw fish food into our big tanks to feed the fish and sharks! This has become a huge hit and we hope you try it too!
